.DBF Data Specification

Apollo and the SDE provide high-speed support for FoxPro (DBF, FPT, IDX, CDX), CA-Clipper (DBF, DBT, NTX) and HiPer-SIx (NSX, SMT) file formats.

The following .DBF technical specification applies to each of our windows products:

(1) Actual file size is limited to 2GB.
(2) Limited by memory and number of file handles available.
(3) Up to 32k if ApolloGetRecord is used to read the entire record buffer.
