Tiny 58kb, high-speed command-line utility that creates a DBF table of any size with real-life sample data in seconds. Tables created are ideal for testing. Very fast and completely self-contained and requires no DLLs. Supports encryption, memo type (FoxPro, Clipper or SIx), silent mode, mark every nth record as deleted. Includes a German language version too.

TEST.DBF generated contains the following fields with populated data: FIRST (CHAR 20), LAST (CHAR 20), STREET (CHAR 30), CITY (CHAR 30), STATE (CHAR 2), ZIP (CHAR 20), HIREDATE (DATE 8), AGE (NUM 2), SALARY (NUM 6), NOTES (MEMO).

This is a must-have Novell update for Apollo.

This patch fixes a bug in Novell that returns incorrect results for the Windows API function "GetFileInformationByHandle()". This bug seriously affects Apollo and many other programs. This has been fixed in later versions of Novell clients. Use Peter Grimshaw's utility "Novell Check" (listed below) to check if you need this patch.

Installation: Right-Click on NWFS.INF and then click on INSTALL. The File will then be automatically put in the Registry's DependingFileNameRequest-Key. The installation will ask to reboot, and during the reboot the new NWFS.SYS will be installed. Until the Machine is rebooted the new file will NOT be effective. Another Method to install is to manually copy and replace the existing NWFS.SYS in the following directory: %SystemRoot%\System32\NetWare

Installation: Extract NT411p1.EXE to a temporary directory on the NT boot drive and run UPDATE.CMD. The files NWMV.EXE & REBOOT.EXE are used for installing this update and can be deleted once UPDATE.CMD is run. Note: This patch should not be applied to NT IntranetWare Client v4.10 or the Netware Client v4.30 for Windows NT (Z.E.N.works v1.0)

Run this utility to test if the Apollo SysProp(2009,pointer(1)) command is required on a Novell network. This call to SysProp may be required to avoid a Novell-related issue with file names and unique identifieds.

Instructions: Unzip and run it on your Novell system. The destination directory MUST be on the Novell file server and it must have some files there to test. No writing or changes to the files are made, nor does the program use any Apollo-related files - it simply checks the results of the Windows API command GetFileInformationByHandle().

Examples of proper threading with the Apollo API.

Windows XP uses ports 5000 and 5001, and Apollo Server defaults to using these ports too. Therefore the default port settings need to be changed. This utility will let you easily change the current ports and ADSM.DAT settings so that ADS can run on Windows XP. Full Delphi source is included so you borrow the code to write your own routines for updating your XP users as needed.
