Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Mehdi Shakeri, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), has been developing software since the early 80’s. In his 20+ year programming career, Med has worked and consulted for several Fortune 500 companies and has been involved with numerous government projects such as Boeing, 3M, BlueCross/BlueShield, U.S. Navy Joint Cruise Missile project, and United Postal Service Prism project to name a few.

Mr. Shakeri has developed over a dozen commercial applications as well as several development libraries. His language libraries for Clipper are used by thousands of developers worldwide. His Internet SimplePage commercial software was the first to employ the new standard Simple Network Paging Protocol for paging. Med’s other commercial package, DISPATCH!, is a real-time dispatching and routing turn-key system which is used by courier and messenger companies worldwide. Much of the Apollo client/server technology stemmed from his work on these sophisticated systems.

Mr. Shakeri lives in beautiful McLean, Virginia with his wife Semin and their beautiful baby girl Ayda. His favorite hobby is swimming. When not developing, Med likes to fly a Cessna 172 and cruise above the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland.
