Reset Vista Newsgroups

It seems as though the restoration of our newsgroup articles has caused newsgroup readers such as Outlook Express and the XP News Reader, to appear as though they are unable to see or post new messages on our news.vistasoftware.com news groups.

The solution is to reset your Vista Software news account in your news reader as follows:

Steps to reset your news reader

1. Open your news reader (e.g. Outlook Express, XP News Reader etc.)
2. Select the Vista Software news group (news.vistasoftware.com) and unsubscribe from all of the groups.
3. From the menu, select: Tools -> Options -> Maintenance -> Clean Up Now... (button), then press the "Compact" button.
4. Press the Close button and exit the News Reader.
5. Re-open your news reader.
6. Select the Vista Software news group (news.vistasoftware.com) and re-subscribe to all of the groups available.

The news groups should now be available again and you should be able to read and post new messages.
